Dovo

The company DOVO Steelware was founded in 1906 by Mr Dorp and Mr Voos - from where come the abbrevation DOVO. At the beginning, they only produced straight razors. In 1938, when the label of origin Solingen Allemagne was protected, Dovo was already one of craftsmen the most famous for the quality of its steels. Because of the introduction of the electric razor, the company had to create a second source of income by producing hair scissors. From 1952 to 1996, DOVO took over different companies, and in 1996 took over Merkur, a safety razor company. In 2013, DOVO returns to its origin and shaving has again become the main issue. Today, the production remained hand-made and because it is long to train new specialists, it can take some time to get some of there products.
